Long answer

Bath salts, which is also commonly known by the nicknames "Cloud Nine," "Plant Fertilizer," "Jewelry Cleaner," "Phone Screen Cleaner," and "Vanilla Sky," among others, is a designer drug that has gradually gained increasing popularity, especially among the teenage demographic. Bath salts can be swallowed, snorted, or injected into the bloodstream using a needle. While all uses of the drug can be extremely harmful, snorting and injection are the most dangerous ways to use it.

Bath salts are comprised of many chemicals, but their main ingredients are manmade cathinones, which include MDPV, mephedrone, methedrone, and butylone. These cathinones affect the brain when consumed or injected, causing feelings of happiness or euphoria and increasing the sex drive of users. However, they can also cause feelings of extreme paranoia and anxiety, as well as vivid hallucinations.

The chemicals in bath salts also cause users to feel extremely excited or energized. However, that energy can quickly lead to heart problems that can be so serious they require hospital treatment. Furthermore, bath salts can lead to severe dehydration, kidney failure, and in extreme cases death. There are 20,000+ hospitalizations year round stemmed from the drug.

Bath salts are a very dangerous and addictive drug that should be vehemently refused and avoided at all costs.
